Your kids won’t grow up to be like you because you told them to do it. Your kids will grow up to be like you based off of the example that you modeled for them.
You can tell your kids things are important, but unless you prioritize them, you can tell them until they’re blue in the face, but it won’t matter. You can tell them going to mass is important. You can tell them reading is important. You can tell them good nutrition is important. You can tell them exercise is important. You can tell them being outside with nature is important. You can tell them that being on screens isn’t good for your health. You can tell them all those things until you’re blue in the face, but unless you prioritize them and model for them, and show them with your actions, that you, indeed, feel they are important too, it won’t matter. Your actions speak louder than your words.
Make those words matter. Make those actions matter.
